PEBBLE ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

There is no end.
There is no beginning.
There is only the infinite passion of life.

BOULDER ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become your character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

PONDER ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

This week I spent a few days with some energizing folks from NIRSA
(National Intramural-Recreational Sports Assn) while they had their annual
conference in Milwaukee. As I interacted with thousands of professionals
who make their living helping people to play, I was reminded of the paradox
many of us "professional helpers" face: we work so hard (too hard?) to
improve the lives of others that we often drain all the lifeforce out of
ourselves. Remember the best way to teach self-care skills is to PRACTICE
self care skills! ASSIGNMENT: Instead of telling someone how to get more
out of life, just SHOW them by doing something really fun this week (today?
right now?).

Peace, and keep sending me those awesome Ripples!

-Paul
