PEBBLE ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
...We try...to discover our own personal truth.
This truth always causes much pain before giving us a new sphere of freedom.
-Alice Miller, The Drama of Being a Child, translated by Ruth Ward,

BOULDER ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I was born to catch dragons in their dens.
And pick flowers.
To tell tales and laugh away the morning.
To drift and dream like a lazy stream.
And walk barefoot across sunshine days.
-James Kavanough, submitted by Ben Wiedenfeld
PONDER ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
This week found me hanging out in southeast Pennsylvania where I
spent a day with the staff and students at Millersville University.
In one presentation we discussed the value of being DELUSIONAL.
Those of us who use this treat frequently often use another word:
OPTIMISTIC. The two words are closer than you think! Studies have
shown that people who have a consistently optimistic view about how
events will turn out are frequently incorrect about their
assumptions. They are WRONG, but they are HAPPY!
Of course there are times when we need to be realistic and cautious.
But many times, creating our own delusional truth puts us in a better
mood to handle the challenges of the day!
I wish you peaceful delusions!
Paul
