eRipples v4.36: Ripples of LIGHTS!

Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by another human being.
Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this light.
-Albert Schweitzer, submitted by Guillermo S., New York

Go out into the world today and love the people you meet.
Let your presence light new light in the hearts of people.
-Mother Teresa, submitted by Jennifer M., Lawrence, KS

Even after all this time
the sun never says to the earth
"You owe me."

Look what happens
with a love like that -
it lights the whole sky.

After participating in a spectacular leadership conference hosted by
Clark College and attended by community college students from all
over the state of Washington, I spent a day hiking in the forest
mountains of the Pacific Northwest. I've heard many visitors grumble
about how gloomy and cloudy this part of the country can be....it
seems natives concentrate more on the SUNNY days and perhaps enjoy
the light more than other climates that take sunshine for granted.

You know, there are ALWAYS going to be cloudy days in our lives. We
cannot wish them away. And we must not TRY to wish them away! It is
those cloudy days that allow us to enjoy the sunshine so much! So,
if you find yourself in an overcast day this week, just know that
sunshine will pop back on the horizon soon.

I wish you deep peace this week,

Paul
