Twenty years from now
you will be more disappointed
by the things you didn't do
than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines,
sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
EXPLORE, DREAM, DISCOVER!

The official purpose of my recent trip to Wisconsin Dells was to give
a few talks at the Wisconsin Bankers Association's Annual Consumer
Education Conference. Of course any trip to the Dells should include
a visit to one of the many indoor waterparks that can quickly take
you from a rainy fall Wisconsin weekend to a tropical paradise
complete with waterfalls, lazy rivers, and REALLY cool waterslides.
We were too tired to participate, but nonetheless enjoyed a relaxing
evening watching all the excitement.

Before some of the kids could enjoy the slides, they had to conquer
their fears and that sometimes took a big effort on the part of their
parents. I watched one child who, after much encouraging and
comforting, tackled a particularly wild slide and landed with a huge
splash. The gigantic grin on his face as he emerged was not in spite
of his fear; he enjoyed it because he conquered his fears and
triumphed!

Is there some way that you are letting fear hold you back? Perhaps
you need to "throw off your bowlines and sail away from the safe
harbor" this week and enjoy the adventure!

Peace,
Paul
