to be more than you ever imagined.

This week included spending time with "professional
helpers" who focus on serving the elderly. In a part of the
presentation about "attitude adjusting" I reminded them
of the awesome value in "Choosing Your Team."

Most of us spend many minutes a day interacting with others:
colleagues, friends, family, customers (clients/members/etc.),
strangers, and so on.... If I asked you to identify a few people
who engage and energize you, I'm hoping you could name
a handful. I bet you could also list a few folks who, when you
are around them, drain your energy (or, as I like to say, "suck
the lifeforce out of you!"). Perhaps this week you need to
begin consciously choosing to spend MORE time with someone
on the first list, and LESS time with someone from the second list.

And don't just THINK about it, DO IT!!!

Peace,
Paul

Ripples v6.23: Ripples of SAVORING!

I had grand adventures last week visiting Plymouth State University (NH) and the Wisconsin Leadership Conference in Milwaukee. Despite the crazy travel schedule, I squeezed in some ME time too! During a run in the mountains I saw a moose and a bald eagle; on a long bike ride I was entertained by several deer, a hawk, two herons, and enough bunny rabbits to crave Cadbury Creme Eggs!!

They were tiny moments filled with gigantic power in part because an ordinary, routine task (exercising) intersected with unexpected joy. The most exciting part of these events was the fact that I had promised myself to strive this week to enjoy each moment. It is possible I enjoyed these moments
because of my encounters with nature, AND I find myself wondering if these encounters were made
possible because I was enjoying the moment!

Whether your schedule this week is filled with regular tasks or exciting new adventures, I hope you can
choose one day to "Savor every morsel!"

Peace!
Paul

This week I travelled to San Diego for another opportunity to visit with my credit union
buddies at CUNA Mutual Group's annual Discovery Conference. We were exploring the
topic of passion, and I came home to a fantastic pile of quotes submitted by Ripples
Readers from around the U.S. (and Canada, and a few from around the world!). These
quotes really reminded me that while vision is important in creating a great life, the
essential ingredient as that we keep going! The farther we travel, the more we see, and
the more we see, the farther we want to travel! It is an important cycle of growth, and I
challenge you this week to choose an area of your life that feels neglected and trudge
forward a few steps and hopefully you will find a new view that will inspire you farther!

As always, I wish for you and everyone:

Peace!

Don't sit on the pier waiting for your proverbial "ship"
full of all your dreams, hopes, and wishes.
All the things you want in life already surround you.
Open your heart, reach out your hand, and
put in a little effort to pull your "ship" ashore.

I'm back! Thank you SOOO much for your patience as
I took a few weeks off to rest. The brief respite from
Ripples and my crazy travel schedule has me refueled
and ready to jump back into life!!

This week's quotes are a about transforming a dream
into a "to-do" and then DOING IT! I dare you to brush off
an idea you've been wishing-hoping would come to life
and take some concrete action to make it happen!

Go!

Peace,
Paul
