We would never learn to be brave or patient
if there were only joy in the world.

...I want to beg you, as much as I can,
to be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart
and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms
and like books that are written in a foreign tongue.

Do not now seek the answers,
which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them.
And the point is, to love everything.
Live the questions now.
Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it,
live along some distant day into the answer.
Resolve to be always beginning - to be a beginner.
- Rainer Maria Rilke, submitted by Claudia in North Carolina

This week included a trip to Oklahoma and a chance to spend a few
days with the Oklahoma School Food Service Association. While the
trip was one more chance to see gorgeous fall colors and spend some
time with another awesome group of "lunch ladies," it was also a
chance to notice that my life is speeding up so quickly that I'm
often thinking about the trip home before I have even arrived at the
destination.

I am going to spend this week enjoying the remainder of fall colors
and being patient enough to enjoy today! I hope you can do the same!

Peace,
Paul
