Ripples #731: Embrace The Adventure!

Ripples #731: Embrace The Adventure!
For our tribe of 30,505 busy people who share encouragement and gratitude.
May 27, 2013

PEBBLE:
The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon,
but that we wait so long to begin it.
-W.M. Lewis, shared by Nick in New Jersey (soon to be Indiana!)

BOULDER:
Do not stop thinking of life as an adventure.
You have no security unless you can live
bravely, excitingly, imaginatively;
unless you can choose a challenge
instead of competence.
-Eleanor Roosevelt, submitted by Pete in Sedona, AZ

PONDER:
Many of us here in the U.S. are enjoying a holiday weekend that kicks off the summer season. In between the road trips and the picnics and other fun activities, I dare you to spend a few moments daydreaming about how your "work" (job, school, chores, etc.) would be more fun and/or meaningful if you embraced it as an opportunity for adventure. Of course parts of it are less interesting than others; is there a possibility for joy hiding in there somewhere and waiting for you to find it? Seek it, create it, embrace it!

Peace,
Paul
The Ripples Guy
p.s. I also invite you to spend a moment or two of this Memorial Day acknowledging those who gave their lives during active military service.
